2009 Cadillac SRX

Take a SUV that had been designed to look like a wagon and you essentially have the 2009 Cadillac SRX. It handles like a car and can seat seven with 70 cubic feet of cargo space, but is still smaller than the Escalade. Featuring a 225 HP V6 or a 320 HP V8, you may think that these engines do not have what it takes to power a vehicle like this. But upon further review, the SRX is actually much lighter than almost all of its competitors, leaving the vehicle with ample power. There has been speculation though that the reason for lack of sales is the vehicles resemblance of a wagon.

The 2009 SRX is available in two trim levels, the V6 and the V8.

V6 Features:

  • 3.6 Liter – 255 HP / 254 T
  • 17 Inch Alloy Wheels
  • Rear Parking Assist
  • Leather Seats
  • Power Driver Seat
  • OnStar
  • Automatic Climate Control
  • Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror
  • Bose 8 Speaker System

V8 Features:

  • 4.6 Liter – 320 HP / 315 T
  • 18 Inch Alloys
  • Xenon Headlamps
  • Heated Front Seats
  • Power Adjustable Pedals
  • Driver Memory Presets

The SRX has a bundle of safety features as well. Offering more airbags than you would ever need this vehicle has scored a 4 out of 5 in front collisions and 5 out of 5 in side impact tests administered by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The interior offers many luxurious features such as wood and alloy trim, with minimal plastic to ruin it. Other features such as an analog clock make the interior classy. But with every good thing there are its down sides. The steering wheel can only be moved in 6 steps, making the right driving height difficult to find for some, as well as a height difference in the accelerator and brake pedals, requiring too much leg movement while driving. To top the vehicle off however, is a gigantic sunroof that anyone will enjoy.
