2010 Cadillac SRX

The 2010 Cadillac SRX is based on General Motor’s Theta Premium platform, which is where the Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain both begin as well. The 2010 will feature a different line up for this model year, including a 3.0 liter direct injection engine known as the VVT E85, or the 2.8 liter turbocharged model (both 6 cylinder engines).

Engines:

  • 3.0 liter V6 – 260 HP / 221 T
  • 2.8 liter turbo V6 – 300 HP / 295 T

Strangely enough, the smaller engine is much more powerful, this is due to the turbocharger. Both engines use a Hydra-Matic 6T70 six speed automatic transmission. This transmission will also be available in front wheel drive or all wheel drive.

The new eLSD traction control is an interesting piece of equipment. In wet conditions it can transfer up to 100 percent torque to the wheel with the most traction. This also aids with high speed turns and situations when control becomes jeopardized, by adjusting the rear wheels to stay in line with the front wheels.
